 | CKA Limited accepts payment with major credit and debit cards. Secure payment processing is provided by Actinic Payments, backed by Creditcall. This is our preferred payment option - it's the fastest and most secure way to pay us for your order, and we are able to start processing your order immediately.
For your security, you will be transferred to a dedicated site operated by Actinic Payments to enter your card details. Your card details are not transferred to CKA's systems. The Actinic Payments site has full PCI-DSS Level 1 compliance and implements 3D Secure and advanced fraud screening.
Note: occasionally, the third-party screening will 'flag' an order as potentially fraudulent. This requires manual intervention and investigation before we can complete your order. There are a few things you can do to help avoid this: ensure the name and address you provide is complete and exactly matches that on your card statement; provide a landline telephone number, not a mobile, registered at the same address; avoid using 'free' email addresses such as yahoo, and don't use a different delivery address unless you have a very good reason for doing so. |

 | CKA Limited accepts Paypal payments. Using Paypal you can pay from an existing Paypal balance, just as you would on eBay. You can also pay through Paypal using your credit/debit card. You will be transferred to Paypal's site to complete the payment and then returned to us.
Paypal promotes its service on the basis that your card details are not transmitted to the seller. However, this is in fact true regardless of which payment method you choose.
Note: Paypal provides a form of payment called 'e-cheque' whereby funds are transferred from your bank account or card to cover the transaction. Please be aware that e-cheques are not cleared instantly by Paypal and it can take up to 10 working days before your payment is confirmed. |
|
 | Of course, if you prefer you can pay for your order by sending a cheque or postal order to us (please don't send cash). You can also elect to pay by BACS or via internet banking.
We can't accept cheques from international customers but you can pay by international bank transfer. Please remember that payment must be in GBP (Sterling) and all costs must be to your account.
If you choose this method, we'll email you the details you need but it would help if you sent us an email to remind us. Your order will be processed and dispatched once your payment has cleared - this may take a week or more from when we receive it. |

 | As from March 1st 2012, we will no longer accept payment through Google Checkout / Google Wallet. There are a number of reasons for this :
(1) Google Checkout says its fees are competitive with other providers, and their fee structure is actually identical to Paypal. However, both platforms require considerable monthly throughput to qualify for rates that are commercially viable and, having offered both options for nearly two years, we have found that almost everyone who doesn't pay directly using their card will choose Paypal. This means that our Google Checkout throughput is too low to meet the ctritera for commercial rates.
(2) Unlike Paypal, Google Checkout 'pushes' funds into the merchant's bank account and the process takes between 5 and 7 working days. In contrast, funds can be moved out of Paypal within hours if required, or left in place to fund potential refunds. If a refund is required, Google has no convenient method for transferring money into the Google system.
(3) In the unfortunate event of a customer being unhappy with the service he has received, Google Checkout has no 'resolution' process or dispute console available to the merchant, which works against buyers and sellers reaching a positive outcome.
(4) There is no telephone support of any kind available to merchants.
(5) Google requires merchants to place the link to their system at the beginning of the checkout process, confusing buyers. Further, Google's APIs do not reliably transfer data back to the order processing system and, because Google Checkout makes its own tax calculations, most payments differ by one penny from the website figures, meaning these transactions are 'unbalanced' and have to be adjusted manually. In every case where this has occurred the customer has paid less than the published price.
We apologise to any of our customers who are inconvenienced by our decision to drop Google Checkout from our payment options. |
